Meet Racheal
Racheal has been a Physiotherapist for nearly 30 years and has also worked in Defence medical, sports physio and now as a transition care physio for the elderly. A Townsville girl by birth, she jumped at the chance to move back to her hometown in 2008, to be closer to her family.
Meet Eric
Eric is a Defence veteran who served 10 years in the RAAF as an aircraft technician, before heading off to work overseas for a couple of years. Returning to Australia in 1999, he returned to aviation and nearly 25 years on the F-111 and MRH90 programs, before being made redundant at the end of 2023. He then commenced working in the Mining industry in Jan 2024 before a back injury forced him to rethink his career choices. While he was on restricted duties at the mines, he listening to people who needed to travel to Townsville to FIFO for work, speak about the prices they were paying for parking and the idea for Jackson’s Parking & Transfers was born.
Together they have 2 children, Olivia, who is currently studying at CQ Uni to become a Paramedic and Connor, who has just commenced a school-based apprenticeship in boiler making and will be completing his schooling next year. Both are also outstanding sportspeople with Olivia playing Hockey with Wests alongside mum and Connor who plays u17 and Senior footy for the Northern Beaches SUNS AFL club.
Why choose us
We give you the opportunity to drive your own car to us and leave it securely stored while you travel away and then drive your own car home once you return. We have been unlucky enough to have our bags be the last one out on the conveyor belt at the terminal and then trek outside, only to wait anywhere up to 45 minutes for a ride, sometimes longer depending on the time of day or night and if there are other events on in town. In the Townsville heat, that is not much fun. Throw in a tired and cranky spouse/partner or children and it can be a real downer to your time away.
We can drop you off at the front door to the terminal, pick you back up on your return, deliver you back to your vehicle, which will be ready for you to jump in and get you on your way home.
We also don’t use an emergency trip or change of plans as a reason to overcharge you. We know things sometimes go pear shaped, people get sick, the weather can cancel your plans. If you need a place to park, all we need is 4
hours’ notice to arrange a space and get you to the Terminal in time to check in. No extra charges apply. You can book a day ahead, or a month ahead, the price won’t change, just because your plans might. This also applies to people returning. If you are returning early due to illness or cancellations, we understand and we will do our best to help you out of an already stressful situation.
We have an easy-to-use booking system. You choose the dates, tell us what time you want to check in, what flights your leaving on and returning on, let us know if there are any immobilisers or security systems in your car and you can then pay online or at our premises by either Credit card (some bank charges may apply) or by cash if you prefer. You leave your keys with us; we park your car and drop you off. It couldn’t be any simpler.
